I have realized more and more just how small of a world we live in. As I have moved to new states I have made connections I never in a million years thought I would make. For example when I moved to Memphis I met this family at church. After several months their Mom and I realized that my grandparents and her parents were the closest of friends while she was growing up. She use to take piano from my Uncle, baby sat for my Aunt, my Mom baby sat her and they did family things together. Is that not crazy? Here we are thousands of miles from home and who would of thought you could meet someone with that close of a tie to you. She spent time telling me her memories of my grandparents, it's so fun when you live so far from family to have someone who actually knows the people you love and can talk with you about them.
I was able to photograph her children earlier this week, they were great clients. They are beautiful kids and were such good sports. Thanks so much for allowing me to capture your sweet kids and for bringing our families "back together" again!

I took my kids out on Sunday to try and capture a picture for Christmas Cards. Luckily I was able to capture a couple I loved. Here are a couple that didn't make the cut but I still liked, after I mail out my card I will post it here!!! I also got a chance to play with my new 24-70 2.8 lens, I am loving it!

We had a lot of fun at the square with this family last weekend. The kids did great and even though the youngest one wasn't feeling that good, we were still able to capture some really fun pictures. Thanks for letting me photograph your family, you guys did wonderful!

I had a great time with this sweet family the other day. The boys are the same age as my little man so I am use to the terrible two's, but they weren't terrible at all. They were great and loved all the construction that was going on around them during the shoot. I know I say it all the time but I truly do have the BEST clients!

I just LOVE this family. Our daughters dance together and that's how we met and we have quickly become friends. Aren't they just gorgeous? They were such great troopers for pictures, it's was cold and sprinkling out but you would never know!!!

Life has just been CRAZY busy and it doesn't look like it is going to let up anytime soon. I have an awesome workshop I am so looking forward to this weekend, I will post more about it once it's over. I also have a very full calendar for November so there will be no time for rest!!! I just wanted to post some final pictures for the last two sessions I did, they were both awesome families and I really enjoyed working with them!!!

When I first met this family I was seriously cheering on the inside, I knew this was going to be one awesome shoot. Not only were they dressed great and such a cute family, but they went along with my ideas and were amazingly photogenic, the proof is in the pictures. When we first came to Memphis looking for a place to live I met sweet Hallie and I tell you I am totally indebted to her. She helped me SO much answering questions and giving her opinion on where she thought we should live. I was so excited when she wanted me to take their family pictures, they are the sweetest family with 3 adorable girls. We had a great time and I look forward to get togethers in the future with this great family!

This was one of the easiest families I have photographed.  Their daughter was a complete doll, she was so happy and sweet and they were totally willing to do whatever I needed them to do!  Look at her sweet smiles, she was a dream to work with and made my job so easy!

Aren't these kids just beautiful? That was my first thought when I saw them at our shoot on Saturday. Mom had the BEST outfits for them, it's any photographers dream for a Mom to show up with a handful of Matilda Jane dresses, I was thrilled!
